Merchiston Dry Cleaners

The dress in the photo is my mother of the bride dress I took to be dry cleaned. The picture with 2 photos is what it went in as and after several months of “we have good and bad news” when I phoned. The 1st problem was the dye had run into the bodice then they tried to remove the dye they had melted the beading and said they would send it to a seamstress to get repaired, which is the other photo in picture 1. The repair was awful, cheap and nothing like what my dress was like. Since getting it back I have gone to a professional seamstress who has made a fantastic job (photo 2).She was very surprised at the repair that had been done. The seams were showing and it was a cream bodice and they put had put white material insert in. Totally wrong colour. I have contacted the owner by email so as I can claim from their insurance to cover the very expensive cost of the repair. That was a few weeks ago and surprisingly I haven’t heard a thing. I cannot give this business any stars as the treatment from staff regarding this situation is terrible and their communication is awful. I advise others to think twice of using this drycleaners. I would have given them no stars but you have to so I have for being open !!
